Thanks to everyone who came to the baby showers I’ve had. It has been so much fun to see all the friends and family. I love you guys!! I’ve been meaning to blog for such a long time! I just haven’t gotten around to it; I’m too busy enjoying everyone else’s blogs-so keep ‘em coming! Last weekend (or the one before that)was deemed “Baby Weekend.” I had 2 baby showers and Pitt and I attended a childbirth class! All that made us feel the reality that this little guy will be with us before we know it. A picture is worth a thousand words so here goes…
Beautiful quilt made by Aunt Sherrey

I love these Little Levis from Aunt Merilee

My cute friends from SLC and the ward had a blast at Lianna’s house. Thanks Lianna, you’re a doll!
The group…what amazing women! (Counterclockwise)Raquel, Ashley, Candice, Amanda, Heather, Stacey, Lianna, Mindy and Melissa

Otherwise we’ve been busy working and trying to put some money in the bank before our income seriously drops! One money saver happened yesterday. Pitt loves backpacks and bags and stuff like that, so I put him in charge of picking out a diaper bag-one that he would like because he’ll be carrying it as much as I will. So he found one we liked and it was about $70 dollars. He went to REI to buy it, found the one he wanted and took it to the register. When the cashier rang it up, the price came up as $12! Pitt questioned it and the guy scanned it again…$12! CHA-CHING! $12 bucks…nice!
One more month until this blog turns into my brag book of baby. We’ll keep you posted.

Me and my girls! Sarah threw Mindy and I a joint shower last Saturday. I cherish these girls so much! We have been best buds since middle school. Any memory I have from my school days includes one of them. Not everyone could be there (shout-out to Bre and Marie–we missed you!) Camille and Ade even drove down from Logan. It was fun to catch up with everyone and show off my belly. Mindy is due in 11 days. She has the best attitude and is still working full time! By the time I’m 11 days away I don’t know if I’ll be as happy-go-lucky as Mindy, I can only hope. She’s also having a boy — naming him Cash. I can’t wait to meet the little guy.
Here we are, except Claire-she missed the picture-sorry. Sarah, Mindy, Me, Camille and Adrienne.
I love the diaper garland Sarah created, so cute!!

Opening presents. It was nice to get stuff from moms who know what’s up. Thanks girls!

There’s Claire!! (and her darling daughter Addelyn) Addy was so polite.
She also was worried about her little brother Carter at home and took some goodies home for him.

Ade, Jaden and I posing for our family picture in our coordinating outfits. Jaden is such a stud! I love him.

Later that night we had some friends over at our house. This is Ciara, she and I are the same-33 weeks!
She knows exactly how I feel right now (which really isn’t that bad, just hot, tired and like this will never end)

I feel like this month has just flown by. We started it out on a great trip with the Raymonds to San Diego. I spent a week sick in bed with a could and cough that knocked me off my feet! Then, just in time, I recovered to go to First Descents. Add some time in Boise, learning how to mow the lawn, trying to keep a garden, and making room for baby (oh, and a little work) and it’s no wonder it has gone by so fast! Here are a couple pics…enjoy!

We spent a week in Idaho volunteering at a young adult cancer-survivor camp. Pitt helped suit everyone up with the right gear and taught kayaking all week and I was the camp nurse, don’t worry, no one needed me! It was such an amazing experience! It was so fun getting to know all these great people. They’ve been through cancer treatment and just want to get back into their normal active lifestyle that existed before all the doctors, chemo, and surgeries. It was really good for me to hear their perspectives about their care. I learned how much cancer truly effects your life. I think I have gotten a little jaded working in the cancer world. I hope I take the things I learned into my practice and can become a better nurse. And Pitt just loved it! He loves sharing the things he loves with new people. He had a blast watching them progress every day and try new things and just be outdoors. I was so impressed with everyone. They jumped right into the cold river and had great big smiles on their faces. It was a super cool week and we hope to go back next year and work with more amazing people!
“Moo”, “Thrifty” and “Slipper” stoked about the river. We all got nicknames within the first hour of the week. I was “Pregers!”

Old family photo, these guys are hilarious! McFly, Smelly, Thrifty, Beemer, Skirt and Slipper

First day on the river and everyone was smiling!

Beemer gave me his T-shirt…Wanna touch it? Ha ha!

Went to the Cabin last week, just wanted to share some great pics! I created a “Snapshow” through Snapfish, I hope this works.
It was such a blast to be with all the fam! The cabin is in Island Park. Bill and Patty have had it since 2005 and put their hearts and souls into it. We love being up there and enjoying the scenery. Pitt knows the area like the back of his hand and always wants to explore new places. This year he took the guys on an adventure and came back with a popped tire…oops! I couldn’t put captions on the slideshow, but you’ll see us on the shore of Henry’s Lake playing our instruments. Mary had us all practice together and we put on a concert for Bill’s birthday. Duke played too, but I missed getting a pic of that. The kids loved their new treehouse-fort that Grandpa made them. We played games, floated the river in a raft and kayaks, played volleyball and slip-n-slide! It was a blast! Thanks fam!

Click the Adorn It widget on the right to see all the details about the blog party going on. You don’t want to miss it!
My “summer favorite” this year has been my experience at Girl’s Camp. It was a growing and stretching experience for me and something I will never forget. The YW really showed their true colors and showed me how to be a better person. Girl’s Camp has always been something I look forward to and for the last 3 years I’ve gone as a leader, helping to make the experience as meaningful for my YW as it was for me as a teenager. Here are the layouts I created:

I love this accent I added. Our group had to rely a lot on the spirit, smiles and our hearts because of the language barrier.

I love love love this line from Adorn It-The Outdoors Collection. The colors aren’t too bland and woodsy like other camping paper. There’s bright green, blue, red and yellow! I consider myself a very basic and beginning scrapper, so it’s always nice when accents and papers already coordinate for me. I love the cute tin charms they have to hang from brown brads! It was such fun to work with and it all came together in a snap!

This is a two-page layout (probably looks familiar from the Adorn It pamphlet a few years ago, I finally got around to scraplifting it) I love the stripe paper!

Hey everyone! I feel like I have finally recovered from a really busy couple of weeks. Check out my mom’s blog for pics from my 4th of July weekend. Thanks to them for putting together such a fun BBQ! Summertime is just flying by, which is a good feeling because our due date is just getting closer and closer. October 20th, here we come! I’m finding that I’m totally putting off any preparations for this child to be here. But I know he’s coming. I feel him moving around in there everyday. Yesterday, in fact, I could see and feel a spot on my tummy getting kicked. It made me laugh out loud, it’s just kinda weird. I see my silhouette and think, Oh my! I’m pregnant! You know how for a while after you’re married, you keep looking at your husband and your new little apartment and think, Oh my! We’re married! Ya, it’s the same kind of feeling. Just have to get used to the idea I guess. My exercise habits have fallen off the face of the earth. I did pretty well until May and since then, I’ve been so lazy! So today, I got up (after a rude awakening by my neighbor’s girlfriend yelling profanities at him) and went at did some walking at Liberty Park. The summer morning air is the best! I’m going to try to keep this habit up. I also rented a prenatal workout DVD, ha ha! We’ll see how that goes. I would love to share pictures from our last ultrasound, but they’re all really bad and you can’t really see anything. But he is still a boy! So, sorry! They did record it for me on a DVD that I showed my family though, that was pretty cool. In other news, I’ve been released from my YW calling. I will miss seeing those cute YW twice a week. It was a great calling and I learned a lot. But I think I was worn out and feeling uncommitted and they need someone else who can be more dedicated. I was just getting all their names down too. But now I have 70 Primary kids’ names to learn! Sharing time, here I come!
